Drawing on the walls of my boyhood home in Colorado with various media - mostly crayons -
comprises some of my earliest memories. My parents encouraged my childhood creativity and I
have loved drawing and painting ever since. As I get older, that love affair with creating art
grows stronger - it is who I am. Originally born in Los Angeles, California in 1959, my family
moved to Denver, Colorado in 1961 where many family members still reside. I set out for college
in 1978, married soon after graduating and settled in South Texas where I live today with my wife
and two daughters. Several times each year I travel back to Colorado where I paint and connect with
the amazing power and beauty of the Rocky Mountain high country. My goal as a painter is to connect
everyone who views my work with the transcendant power and peace I feel when standing in the middle
of an Aspen grove, listening for the gentle rush of a nearby stream, or witnessing the majesty of a
distant peak dusted with the first snows of fall.
